ECOPRIME® 108 - A1 is a Copolymer Film used in the manufacturing of jelly filled cables. It is laminated with Aluminum foil of approximately 200 microns thickness on one side and PET on the other side. The laminate serves as a moisture barrier in the entire structure as shown in the diagram. The film bonds extremely well with Aluminum as it has been specifically designed for excellent polarity with metals. It is also able to seal well at low temperatures and through contamination.
108-A2 is a co-extruded EVA-based PE film used to manufacture the armoring and shielding component of telecommunication cables. It is laminated with ECCS (electrolytic chromium coated steel) tape on one side and LDPE, MDPE, or HDPE Jacketing Material on the other side. The film adheres extremely well with the ECCS tape and also provides a strong bond to the cable jacketing material.
108-A3 is a co-extruded copolymer film used to manufacture the armouring component of optical fibre cables. It is laminated with ECCS (electrolytic chromium coated steel) tape on one side and bonded with HDPE (jacket) on the other side. The bonding with the HDPE jacket comes with easy stainability property making it easy to strip a cable and make repairs. The film bonds extremely well with ECCS tape and has been specifically designed for excellent polarity with metals.
108-A4 is a co-extruded copolymer (EAA) film used to manufacture the armoring and shielding component of telecommunication cables. It is laminated with ECCS (electrolytic chromium coated steel) tape on one side and LDPE, MDPE, or HDPE Jacketing Material on the other side. The film adheres extremely well with the ECCS tapes and has been specifically designed for excellent polarity with metals, and also provides a strong bond to the cable jacketing material.
Provides excellent protection against moisture ingress, enhancing cable durability.
Available with aluminum foil, PET, or ECCS tape, catering to different cable applications.
Essential for shielding and armoring in jelly-filled and optical fiber cables.
Seals effectively even under low temperatures and contaminated conditions.
Reinforces cables with high-performance lamination, improving structural integrity.
Bonds effectively with LDPE, MDPE, and HDPE jacketing materials.
In a multi-layer PE film, the polymer, the equipment and the process variables combined, determine the level of crystallinity and orientation and in turn the resulting film properties. Thus we take great care in the design of the film so that the customer receives the best product possible. The design of a multilayer film structure is based on pre-determined performance
These Technical Service Notes combined with the expertise of Ecoplast’s outstanding engineers, helps customers to derive the critical performance characteristics of multilayer films for a specific application.
